The Southwestern College Small Business Development Center
and the Center for International Trade Development (SBDC & CITD)

The SBDC & CITD provides one-on-one business counseling
and training to San Diego entrepreneurs and businesses.

Note: During the summer semester the SBDC & CITD will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. During this period we will be offering counseling services on Fridays at the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center in Mission Valley. Surviving an Economic Downturn: The SBDC & CITD and the South County Economic Development Council have assembled a list of key warning signs and what you can do about them. The list is available on our website with an appendix of helpful business resources and links.



Information about financing and technical assistance with certain loan programs can be viewed on this site. Our next Small Business Loan Day event will take place June 25, 2009.



The CeBIT 2009 Tradeshow was a collaboration between the SWC CITD, the State of CA, CommNexus San Diego, and other CITDs. It is the world's largest tradeshow for information and communication technology (ICT). More information can be viewed at the CeBIT website. Governor Schwarzenegger attended and his remarks are on his website.



Training events are a good way for businesses to receive information. Upcoming workshops and seminars can be viewed on our calendar page and in most cases, you can register online.
